an important distinction

Educational Disclaimer

We're educators, not your medical team. Both matter — and knowing the difference keeps you safest.

Education, not medical advice

The information provided through our website and educational programs is intended for general educational purposes and is not a substitute for individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Please discuss questions about your pregnancy and health with your qualified healthcare provider.

Nothing you learn in our classes should delay you from seeking medical care. If you have concerns about your health or your baby's health, contact your healthcare provider promptly.

What we do provide

Evidence-informed education about pregnancy, birth, and parenting; practice in comfort and coping techniques; and tools for having informed conversations with your care team. We help you understand your options — your healthcare provider helps you apply them to your unique situation.

Your choices are yours

Our classes never tell you which choices to make. Any decisions about your care, your birth, and your baby belong to you, made together with your healthcare providers.
